As the first BKBB intern, Marcus contributed to organizing materials related to American Presbyterian Missionaries in the 20th century Congo. He wrote about his experience at PHS in a blog post, and created an intern documentary about PHS. Marcus is currently  a senior in the department of Africology at Temple University. After graduating, he intends to work on his master's, either in Africology or Library science. At PHS, Marcus learned to observe collections and notice any linkages between the materials of that collection, and came to understand the necessity of categorizing information.
