Jackie Akins is a retired professor of history at Community College of Philadelphia. In addition to working with PHS staff to curate primary and secondary sources as part of an African American history class collaboration with the Presbyterian Historical Society, she helped lead the Building Knowledge and Breaking Barriers project as an Expert Panelist.
